    ICESTA ICE/COLD WATER PLANT

    FEATURES OF ICESTA ICE/COLD WATER PLANT
    1. Environmental friendly refrigerants - R404A and R407C.

    2. Multi-stage cooling from +45℃ down to less than 1℃ by 2 semihermetic screw/reciprocating compressors with economizer performance.

    3.Plate heater exchanger as evaporators (corrosion-free) for high-efficiency heat transfer.

    4.Stainless Ice tank (corrosion-free) for the ice bank system.

    5.Evaporative condensers (corrosion-fee) for High efficiency heat rejection.

    6.With our special designed multi-stage cooling system for fresh water cooling of concrete batching plants extraordinary high COP’ s can be achieved;

    First Cooling Stage (for CWP and IWP Chillers)
    Even under the most severe climatic conditions it is possible to cool water from practically any temperature down to 35℃ within a cooling fan without the involvement of a refrigeration system which reduces the actual cooling capacity of the compressors by 20%. Thus this refrigeration capacity of the first stage is free of charge.
    Second Cooling Stage (for CWP and IWP Chillers)
    Furthermore, it is much more efficient (by 25 %) to produce refrigeration capacity at an evaporation temmperature of +7℃ than at 0 C. Therefore the water is cooled from 35℃ down to 2℃ in the plate heat exchanger of the second stage by the first compressor.
    Third Cooling Stage (for lWP Chillers Only)
    Finally in the Third stage the water is cooled from 2℃ down to less than 0.5°C in our special “ice bank system” by the second compressor. This system consists of a stainless steel water tank in which film heat exchanger is installed. Around these heat exchanger ice can be accumulated without destroying the system. The water is circulated around these heat exchanger covered slightly with ice.In that way the water temperature is between 0℃ and 1℃
