ICESTA Helps Build 180 Tons/Day Block Ice Plant in Bijie, Guizhou with 6×30T Parallel Configuration for Vegetable Cold Chain

Bijie, located in northwestern Guizhou, is a key hub for "Qianhuo Chushan" (Guizhou products going national). Winding mountain roads and long transit times once led to high spoilage rates for fresh vegetables during summer transport. Traditional flake ice or small crushed ice melts too quickly to sustain cooling throughout the journey. Solid block ice, with its high density and slow melting characteristics, emerged as the ideal solution.

ICESTA' s solution for this project comprised six 30-ton industrial block ice machines, delivering a total daily output of 180 tons (24-hour continuous operation). The parallel configuration offers three practical advantages: flexible capacity – all units run during peak season while some can be turned off during off-season to save energy; built-in redundancy – if one unit is under maintenance, the remaining five still provide 150 tons/day, ensuring uninterrupted supply; and investment scalability – the customer can add units incrementally, reducing initial capital pressure.
